About The Position
Rutgers University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) is seeking a Regional Scheduler to work at Garden State Youth Correctional Facility, located in Yardville, NJ. Under the guidance of the Administrator, the Regional Scheduler processes all consultation requests and related documentation for the facility. The position will interface with the Statewide Ombudsperson on concerns elevated to a state level. Among the key duties for this position are the following: Processes all consultation request forms and related paperwork for the facilities, including but not limited to: Entries of consultation requests into the Inmate Eligibility System. All scheduling functions for the consultation request including those for on-site clinic appointments and for off-site appointments. Arranges the appropriate transportation of patients for appointments. Reviews and investigates inmate grievances related to healthcare, through medical record review and personal interviews with inmates and staff. Finalizes investigation with a written report to be distributed according to policy and procedure. Performs other related duties as assigned.
