About The Position

The Regional Supply Chain Planner position at BASF in Houston, TX, is a critical role within the Performance Chemicals team, responsible for managing the sourcing supply chain for Oilfield Chemicals and Mining Solutions. This position involves developing import replenishment schedules, overseeing warehouse distribution, coordinating tolling services, and facilitating production planning. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and engagement with business leadership to support operational goals and customer service standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain or a related field.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and make independent decisions.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and an action-oriented mindset, capable of exploring alternatives for mutual benefit.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional, multicultural teams.
  • Proficiency in BASF software tools (SAP R/3, SNP, MS Office) and basic understanding of BASF's global manufacturing processes; APICS (CPIM) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage an effective import replenishment schedule, balancing supply chain capabilities and resolving supply/demand issues.
  • Oversee U.S. import product warehouse distribution and inventory levels to meet operational goals and customer service standards.
  • Coordinate tolling services for EV Mining Solutions and Oilfield Chemicals, managing all support service details and communications with tollers.
  • Plan production for Oilfield Chemicals & Mining, facilitating the Sales and Operations Planning process and identifying bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product flow, balance requirements, and ensure effective communication.
  • Engage with business leadership and commercial teams to support business objectives and develop a strong understanding of the market.
