About The Position

The Regional Sales Representative is responsible for delivering a high level of professional sales performance by supporting existing customers while actively developing a strong pipeline of new prospects and business opportunities. This individual will manage a defined territory, develop strategic sales plans, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet customer needs. This role focuses on building long-term customer relationships, identifying new market opportunities, and driving revenue growth within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional who understands the metal manufacturing or building components industry, enjoys working directly with customers, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Business/Sales/Finance preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably within the metal manufacturing, building materials, or construction supply industry.
  • Strong financial knowledge and good analytical skills
  • High energy, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (advanced excel), CRM (of advantage)
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and commitment to results.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (verbal and written), dealing with individuals at all levels; comfortable to represent the company in the best possible light, using various means of communication (presentations, client briefs etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Execute sales strategies to increase revenue and profitability within the assigned territory.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and industry engagement. (cross-selling)
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities.
  • Develop territory business plans to grow customer accounts and product sales.
  • Conduct regular field visits with existing and prospective customers.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Develops new accounts by strategically planning daily activities to call on, visit, and travel to existing and prospective customers.
  • Provide product recommendations and solutions based on customer specifications and project requirements.
  • Manage customer accounts including pricing, order coordination, inventory planning, and payment terms.
  • Proactively resolves client challenges by analyzing issues, identifying opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop effective solutions and improvements.
  • Work closely with finance teams to manage credit terms and minimize financial risk.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to deliver value-added services and solutions
  • Provides regular reports & analysis on sales updates, forecasts, market insights, and budget preparations to Sales Management.
  • Prepares, organizes, and delivers tailored client presentations
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, product applications, and emerging technologies.
  • Attend trade shows, networking events, and professional development opportunities.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Ensure compliance with all applicable company and regulatory standards.
