About the position

Essentra is looking to hire a Regional Sales Representative, based out of Denver, CO or Salt Lake City, UT. The Regional Sales Representative is responsible to provide "hands-on" and immediate business to business sales between manufacturing representatives, direct sales representatives, and customers within a defined territory to achieve pre-established sales objectives and margin targets set by executive management. The Regional Sales Manager meets with customers in person to identify their needs and close sales deals. Their main duties include traveling within their assigned territory to meet with potential and current customers, negotiating sales contracts, and telling clients about new products, updates and features. They also include forecasting updated and managing customer visits and pipeline opportunities through the Essentra CRM. Although this position is remote, the employee must be located in either the Denver metro area or Salt Lake City metro area.

Responsibilities

  • Daily communications, technical support, and action logs administration.
  • Present proposals, technical support, samples, quotes and complaints to customers.
  • Support territory through trips with representatives for training, support and direction.
  • Ensure assigned territory meets strategic and sales targets set by the region.
  • Maximize profitability at the account level.
  • Communicate with Essentra Management through monthly reporting, emails, phone, etc.
  • Conduct sales analysis to determine strengths and weaknesses within the territory.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership based on sales analysis for the territory.
  • Manage project duties for sampling, quoting and new product development.
  • Quote custom parts, tooling and parts within acceptable profit margins.
  • Evaluate incoming opportunities and quote for feasibility.
  • Field commercial and technical questions from Rep Groups, customers and internal support functions.
  • Develop project plans, coordinate projects, and communicate changes and progress.
  • Participate in weekly meetings and cross functional management meetings.
  • Manage all customer communication via the Essentra CRM.
  • Provide quarterly sales forecast and weekly updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field (sales experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • Three to five years outside sales experience, with experience in Industrial Sales being a big plus.
  • Excellent negotiating skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Minimum 2 years experience actively using a CRM tool.
  • Must be able to travel as needed; occasional overnights.
  • Outgoing and able to communicate well through all levels of an organization.
  • Motivated, persuasive, dedicated.
  • Ability to handle frustration in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical with the ability to synthesize complex or diverse information.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $88,000-$110,000 with a bonus target.
