About the position

The position involves initiating and nurturing prospects through telephone and in-person interactions, with a goal of connecting with 75% of assigned prospects to generate sales opportunities. The role requires meticulous tracking of outreach activities and maintaining detailed records in the CRM. The candidate will build a robust funnel of new accounts and provide regular updates and forecasts to the Sales Leadership. Participation in national and regional tradeshows is expected, along with thorough preparation and action plans. Teamwork is emphasized, as success is viewed as a collective achievement. The candidate will also need to study and master the product portfolio and value proposition, while monitoring market and competitor activities to coordinate marketing efforts. Engaging in high-level presentations of the MACC offering is also a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and nurture prospects via telephone and in person to generate sales opportunities.
  • Track personalized outreach activities weekly and maintain meticulous records in the CRM.
  • Build a robust funnel of new name accounts and provide regular updates and forecasting to Sales Leadership.
  • Participate in national and regional tradeshows with advance preparation and action plans.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve overall sales goals and quotas.
  • Study and master the product portfolio and value proposition, and monitor market and competitor activities.
  • Engage in high-level presentations of the MACC offering.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of outside sales experience.
  • 5+ years working in the telecom industry.
  • Growth mindset and capability of building meaningful relationships.
  • Self-starter with a hunter attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative and cohesive team-based environment.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals.
  • Willingness to travel 50% +/- with overnight stays several times per month.
