About The Position

The Regional Sales Manager at Parker Hannifin Corporation is responsible for overseeing national accounts and leading sales and marketing initiatives within the Industrial Filtration Platform. This role involves directing account managers to enhance sales volume and margin, motivating staff to achieve regional sales goals, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The position requires strategic account development and collaboration with divisional management to meet customer service needs. The Regional Sales Manager also represents the company at trade shows and professional events, reporting directly to the Director of Sales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 12 years' experience in OEM direct sales and/or industrial/distributor sales products.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a first-level manager preferred.
  • Ability to staff, train, develop, coach, and motivate staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with advanced PC skills.
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to travel overnight 50% to 70% of the time.
  • Proper product and system certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and sustain sales growth in territory.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • History of managing complex negotiations.
  • Must be based remotely in or near Dallas, TX or Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure sales goals are achieved within the region.
  • Utilize placement, motivation, training, and development skills with territory sales managers.
  • Call on key accounts and coach territory managers to develop strong client relationships.
  • Ensure Parker products and services meet customer satisfaction levels and resolve conflict issues effectively.
  • Gather, interpret, and disseminate market data provided by territory managers and company marketing programs.
  • Implement strategies to recognize new revenue and margin opportunities.
  • Manage the development and implementation of responses to competitors.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace.
  • Direct the development and maintenance of technical knowledge of group/divisional products.
  • Keep staff developed with internal and external training and development.
  • Assist multiple groups and divisions in planning strategy for products and services.
