About The Position

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading and mentoring a team of Business Developers across multiple branches to drive the growth of commercial landscape maintenance sales. This individual will focus on strategic client acquisition, team performance, sales process improvement, market insights, and collaboration with operations leadership to ensure a seamless handoff from sales to service execution.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience in the landscaping industry (Ex. Regional Manager, VP of Sales, Director of Sales)
  • Previous sales/business development experience in the commercial landscape maintenance
  • Willing to travel to other Maldonado branches as needed with company vehicle provided

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of Business Developers across multiple markets (Austin, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Houston).
  • Set and monitor sales goals, KPIs, and activity benchmarks for each Business Developer.
  • Conduct regular field visits and client meetings to support team efforts and build key relationships.
  • Travel regularly to branches as needed for important sales meetings, trade shows, and industry conferences.
  • Develop regional sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand services with existing clients.
  • Conduct ongoing market research to identify trends, competitor activity, pricing benchmarks, and emerging best practices in commercial landscaping.
  • Review and approve bids, proposals, and pricing in coordination with the estimating and operations teams.
  • Ensure effective use of CRM (Aspire) for tracking leads, pipeline progress, and client communication.
  • Partner with Branch Managers and operational leaders to ensure alignment of sales goals with production capacity.
  • Attend executive, branch, and sales team meetings to provide updates, forecasts, and performance reports.
  • Lead or support strategic pursuits, including RFP responses and presentations to high-value clients.
  • Maintain strong market awareness and industry intelligence across all operating territories.
