About The Position

Drive growth, build strong partnerships, and represent Century as a strategic leader in agency development. In this role, you will lead the expansion of agency business, with ownership of growth results and accountability for strengthening relationships with both existing and new agency partners. You will oversee key partnerships, including some of the company’s largest agencies, while actively developing new business opportunities and expanding geographic reach. You will own the creation and maintenance of all training materials to ensure agencies fully understand the value of Century products and solutions. As the primary point of contact for agency issues and escalations, you will collaborate across Product, Claims, Underwriting, Actuarial, IT, and other departments to resolve concerns and drive continuous process improvements. This role is ideal for a growth‑minded leader who thrives in a dynamic, relationship‑driven environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional knowledge preferred.
  • 5 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of related experience.
  • Strong understanding of the automotive space, including independent agents, dealerships, and national competitors.
  • Proven interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated success in sales and people management.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Agency leadership and cross‑functional teams—including Product, Claims, Underwriting, Actuarial, and IT—to develop products, pricing, compensation structures, contracting, systems, and operations aligned with corporate strategy.
  • Develop and execute business strategies that support both top‑line growth and bottom‑line profitability.
  • Strengthen relationships with existing agency partners to increase utilization, expand market presence, and drive new account acquisition.
  • Build new agency relationships and pursue competitive opportunities to support profitable business expansion.
  • Plan and manage company objectives related to Agency and Dealership business across both Reinsured and Retained segments.
  • Identify growth opportunities through strategic planning, market and competitive analysis, new appointments, direct sales programs, alternative distribution channels, marketing initiatives, and business performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with leadership on agency programs, compensation strategies, and targeted business profiles.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver comprehensive training for independent agents to ensure mastery of Century products, systems, filings, underwriting guidelines, contracts, and reporting tools.
  • Oversee agency appointments, profitability programs, quality-of-business targets, and agency commitments within the assigned region.
  • Partner with Product Development, Underwriting, Business Development, and Operations to conduct market research and assess competitive positioning.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of industry competitors and keep leadership teams informed of key developments.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
