About The Position

Regional Sales Manager – Municipal Waterworks The RSM is responsible to develop and manage the sales in the defined territory, directly to distributors or through manufacturer representatives in the Municipal Waterworks market. The job requires intensive field presence, high level of technical knowledge and the ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels within the supply chain process including engineers, distributors, operators, etc. The RSM is expected to provide complete technical support for the various applications in the field. Our strategy is to sell on technical attributes not on price, hence the RSM is expected to master all technical aspects. Special emphasis and focus is to specify our products with engineering groups during the early stages of the project.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
  • Proven experience in sales of technical / engineered products
  • Commitment to success
  • Flexibility for extensive travel and ability to operate autonomously
  • Ability to connect with stakeholders of various levels (from field operators and contractors to consulting engineers)
  • Professional presentation and training skills
  • High level of personal integrity
  • Driven and results oriented

  • Experience in sales to Municipal Waterworks (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Identify and map project opportunities in the territory
  • Introduce products and solutions to engineering groups in the territory at early project stage
  • Specify VBT products in municipal projects
  • Maintain and develop existing customers including: End users (municipalities), Contractors, Engineers, Distributors, Manufacturer’s Reps
  • Identify new customers and introduce company’s products and applications to them
  • Quote and obtain continued feedback on projects
  • Provide technical support in the field and remotely
  • Conduct presentations and training sessions
  • Identify competitors’ pricing, activities, new products and strengths
  • Suggest marketing activities in the territory
  • Identify market needs and suggest solutions and product improvements
  • Submit activity reports to manager
