JOB SUMMARY The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for providing customers with exceptional knowledge and demonstration of complex solutions through a consultative sales approach and own the Business Plan for the defined territory (Southeast USA - Florida, Georgia, & South Carolina). The Regional Sales Manager will be a self-starter, extremely motivated and somewhat technical due to the products we sell, service and maintain and must have a prior track record of selling “like” systems from a technical perspective either in a fixed or mobile environment. The Regional Sales Manager must continually attain and develop new business as well as maintain existing accounts within the defined territory and will strive to initiate, develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers, industry insiders and integration partners.

Requirements

  • Disciplined self-starter with 3+ years of consultative sales selling integrated video / security systems
  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized College or University
  • An understanding of internet and wireless communication systems and topologies
  • Ability & skills to explain technical solutions to non-technical buyers across various influencers at the end user level
  • Demonstrated proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Suite is a must
  • Proven track record of developing effective strategies and customized proposals that win new business
  • Excellent oral and written communication, persuasion, diplomatic and interpersonal skills; experience in researching, writing and delivering marketing proposals and presentations
  • A demonstrated ability to work in a highly entrepreneurial setting where 'many hats' must be worn and decisions need to be made quickly sometimes with minimal management direction
  • Hard driving, "Close the Deal" attitude will be important but must be balanced with flexibility, patience and adaptability
  • Strong written, project management and technical aptitude skills are essential
  • Valid driver’s license and passport is required – travel between states in the US (up to 70%)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and expand customer base; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities
  • Recommend product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Plan and implement a competitive strategy to bring about substantial growth in the assigned territory
  • Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge that allows the RSM to give effective presentations
  • Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments
  • Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors
  • Adjust content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management
