About The Position

We are currently seeking West Regional Sales Manager for the following territory - Arizona, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, & British Colombia. The West Regional Sales Manager is a key sales leadership role within the organization. This executive will be responsible for driving profitable growth and new business opportunities within the West region. They will do this by providing sales leadership and support to the distribution network and industrial/OEM customers. In addition, the West Regional Sales Manager will grow key accounts through cross-selling and new business development activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required with emphasis in business administration, technical field and/or marketing.
  • 7+ years previous channel sales or business-to-business sales environment.
  • Prior successful Sales experience – Industrial.
  • A minimum of 5 years outside sales experience in the Hydraulic, Pneumatic or related industry.
  • Strong sales experience selling through Distributors or Manufacturer Representatives.
  • Working knowledge of Industrial, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic markets related to quick disconnects, couplers and related products.
  • Proven track record of successfully growing established businesses and achieving (or exceeding) sales plan.
  • Ability to think strategically in managing a large region and distribution organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a regional sales strategy and consistently increase sales and profitability.
  • High degree of business acumen, strong analytics and good computer skills.
  • Familiarity with the utilization of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software: SalesForce.
  • Highly self-motivated, competitive and aggressive in the development of strategies and business plans.
  • Ability to build credibility within the organization, with distributors, and with key customers.
  • Possess excellent selling skills.
  • Key account management experience and expertise needed to build a comprehensive strategy.
  • Must be able to accommodate approximately 50% overnight travel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive the implementation of the sales strategy to penetrate new accounts.
  • Accountable for coordinating the implementation of account strategies across the region.
  • Develop and drive the implementation of the regional sales strategy for the Hydraulic and Pneumatic Industrial markets.
  • Manage, maintain, and provide indirect sales leadership support to assigned distributors and Industrial/OEM accounts.
  • Accountable for sales (revenue) results and profitability in assigned region for new and existing business.
  • Develop and manage an aggressive field sales (territory) plan that incorporates making sales calls with Distributors.
  • Maintain a schedule of regular calls to Distributors and, in conjunction with Distributors, to key end-users in the assigned region.
  • Develop key account programs and new business development strategies for the West region.
  • Provide sales leadership, cross selling strategies, and administrative oversight for key accounts.
  • Participate in identifying new product, pricing and market opportunities.
  • Develop sales programs to increase market share and capitalize on sales opportunities.
  • Analyze, develop and prioritize sales opportunities within the West region.
  • Provide field sales and technical product training for Distributors.
  • Assist distribution network in identifying and closing key account sales opportunities.
  • Attend trade shows, sales leadership meetings and provide industry thought leadership.
  • Develop and implement sales presentations for new and existing products.
  • Manage sales activities, sales analytics and sales reports for the assigned region.
