About The Position

Amphenol High Speed and Commercial Products Groups are market leaders in high-speed, high-bandwidth electrical connectors for Telecom/Datacom and diverse markets (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our innovative interconnect solutions enable next-generation technologies and support the electronics industry worldwide. We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager to support our Tier 2 / Tier 3 accounts. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for driving revenue growth and design-win activities within a customer-defined region made up of on Tier 2 and Tier 3 accounts. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical sales engagement. You will lead and develop a regional sales team, manage direct and indirect sales channels, and work closely with customers, Field Applications Engineers, and internal product teams to deliver innovative interconnect solutions. As the Regional Sales Manager, you will develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with global objectives and ensure achievement of sales budgets. You will manage selling expenses including headcount, travel, and regional costs, while maintaining accurate monthly forecasts and latest estimates. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Business
  • 5+ years of sales and marketing experience in the electronics industry, ideally with interconnect solutions
  • 3+ years of sales leadership experience, managing a team of Sales professionals in a fast-paced environment, ideally within technical component-level sales
  • Demonstrated experience leading and participating in high-performing formal and informal cross-functional teams on a regional and global basis.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage regional objectives
  • Ability to communicate effectively across engineering and managerial functions
  • Technical aptitude to understand interconnect solutions and customer design challenges
  • Proven ability to negotiate design wins, contracts, and strategic partnerships
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical and business skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CAD tools (Pro E or SolidWorks) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, manage, and mentor sales team members to improve performance
  • Analyze and coach the team to achieve individual and regional goals
  • Create account plans for Tier 2 and Tier 3 customers and ensure adequate coverage within budget
  • Identify and develop new accounts consistent with company objectives
  • Promote and sell Amphenol products to established customers and new prospects
  • Drive design-win activities by working with customer engineering teams to integrate Amphenol solutions
  • Collaborate with Field Sales Engineers, Field Applications Engineers, and Business Units to support technical aspects of the sales cycle
  • Build strong relationships with management teams at strategic accounts
  • Track orders, revenue, and design-win progress by account
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of market trends and competitive landscape
  • Keep informed of new products and industry developments
  • Travel to customers in the Bay Area, as well as manufacturing facilities globally, and various other customer office locations.
