About The Position

This position is responsible for meeting the monthly, quarterly, and annual regional sales quota. Provide direction and leadership for regional sales team. Direct management responsibility for sales Territory Managers, including performance management, skill development, coaching and mentoring of sales technique and territory management. This position requires previous capital medical equipment sales experience. To best serve the territory, prefer candidates currently located in the North East US area.

Requirements

  • A. or B.S. in life sciences, business administration, related area or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7+ years professional outside sales experience, with proven track record of growing sales.
  • Previous leadership or management experience required.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.
  • Experience in life sciences industry.
  • Experience in the medical diagnostic ultrasound arena is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed established revenue goals for the Region.
  • Direct management responsibility for sales Territory Managers, including performance management, skill development, coaching and mentoring of sales technique and territory management.
  • Direct sales responsibility for designated customer groups within a specific geographic Region.
  • Manage sales performance of direct reports as it involves opportunity and pipeline development, forecasting and revenue generation.
  • Manage and monitor communication and team effectiveness occurring between sales, applications team and partner sales channels.
  • Report all product, marketplace or staff related matters of concern to Zone Director.
  • Establish and nurture luminary physician relationships within assigned Region.
  • Attendance at and sales support for national and/or regional trade shows in which SonoSite and/or distribution partners participate.
  • Miscellaneous projects as determined.
  • Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company's quality system.
