About The Position

The Mining Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth in the mining industry by managing sales channels, fulfilling customer needs, and developing strategic sales plans. This role involves achieving sales targets, managing expenses, and providing technical support to customers and sales intermediaries. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various teams within the company.

Requirements

  • A college degree and a minimum of two years experience in industrial field sales.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational, planning, and presentation skills.
  • Strong selling and relationship skills.
  • Willingness to travel, including 50% overnight stay.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with CRM systems is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • MSHA Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed region's monthly, quarterly, and annual sales/bookings goals.
  • Develop sales plans and strategies to increase market penetration within the region.
  • Participate in annual sales strategy planning.
  • Develop annual sales quotas for Sales Intermediaries.
  • Manage and control expenses at or below budgeted levels.
  • Generate quotations to identified strategic key accounts monthly.
  • Conduct technical seminars for end users, Sales Intermediaries, and engineering firms.
  • Write, translate, and understand technical specifications for proper pump selection and optimization.
  • Manage project activity in the assigned territory, including product offering and pricing levels based on Value Selling concepts.
  • Develop and implement strategies for displacement of competition at new and existing targeted accounts.
  • Communicate with ABEL Management to ensure customer commitments and opportunities are captured.
  • Attend national or local sales meetings as requested.
  • Ensure manufacturers Sales Intermediaries achieve and exceed individual sales quotas.
  • Provide comprehensive feedback on field sales calls to top management.
  • Perform annual evaluations and conduct formal documented feedback sessions with Sales Intermediaries.
  • Recruit, develop, and train new Sales Intermediaries with clearly communicated performance standards.
  • Assist Inside Sales Manager in closing open opportunities as required.
  • Provide the company with new product ideas, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
  • Participate on New Product Development, marketing, and sales teams as required.
  • Implement e-business initiatives with designated channel partners.
  • Continually develop personal sales skills via self-development.
