About The Position

As a member of Baxter's sales team, you'll be aligned to one of our global business units and be responsible for new business, developing existing accounts and ensuring patient-centric approach in all your dealings. You'll work within an assigned geographic area or with specific accounts to achieve or exceed personal and business goals, all in pursuit of our mission to save and sustain lives. In the sales role, you'll have the opportunity to provide input on new markets and products, manage customer concerns, and collaborate with other teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required with 7+ years of healthcare sales experience.
  • Prior Capital equipment sales experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of sales management experience within medical device/healthcare space preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, as well as negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data for effective sales strategies and good organization/time management skills.
  • Ability to understand and adapt to customer changing needs is essential.
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of sales processes as well as leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to travel as it's required and may involve visits to remote or urban areas either individually or with other personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Achieving sales quotas through the direct sale of the company's products or services.
  • Implement sales strategies to attain sales volume, product mix and profit objectives.
  • Supporting the IS Territory Managers with prospective customers, delivering effective sales presentations, providing technical and administrative product information and/or demonstrations, and quoting appropriate customer prices.
  • Providing feedback to immediate supervisor and marketing personnel for the development of marketing policy, recommending product and product line revisions as well as pricing changes.
  • Promoting the Baxter Culture through positive ongoing relationships and activities.
  • Preparing annual regional sales forecasts, sales against forecasts and participating in the determination of market potential for the region.
  • Contacting major accounts to ensure customer satisfaction within assigned region.
  • Directing staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
  • Partnering with sales support, training, marketing and R D in activities such as sales promotion, training or market research in planning and executing special projects.
