The Regional Sales Manager plays a crucial role in driving the company's growth and profitability. Responsible for achieving ambitious sales and profitability targets, the individual will leverage their expertise to cultivate strong relationships with both prospective and existing customers in the consumer channel. Through engaging product presentations, dynamic demonstrations, and a strategic presence at regional trade shows, the Regional Sales Manager will secure valuable orders that align with the company's overarching business objectives. This dynamic role requires a blend of sales acumen, customer service excellence, and a passion for representing the company's products and services in the most compelling manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 or more years of experience within the consumer food industry
  • Experience managing Regional and National grocery accounts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite products
  • Must live on the West coast, Colorado and surrounding states are ideal
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time

  • Proficiency in a second language is a plus (Spanish or French)

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates an unwavering commitment to Lesaffre's safety-first culture by strictly following all safety protocols and participating in required safety programs
  • Cultivates a robust pipeline of prospective customers by leveraging business directories, industry publications, trade shows, and digital resources
  • Travels extensively throughout the assigned territory to engage with both existing and potential customers, fostering strong relationships through in-person visits, phone calls, and email communications
  • Presents and demonstrates the company's products, highlighting their most compelling and salable features
  • Provides customers with accurate pricing information, credit terms, and prepares sales contracts to secure valuable orders
  • Leverages deep product knowledge and production/delivery schedules to provide customers with reliable delivery estimates
  • Documents all business transactions in the CRM system and maintains detailed expense records
  • Collaborates closely with the Director, Manager, B2C Sales & Marketing to ensure account activities and marketing materials are up-to-date
  • Designs and delivers comprehensive training programs to empower the broker network within the assigned markets
  • Builds and nurtures strong relationships with key purchasing contacts to drive continued growth.
  • Investigates and swiftly resolves any customer issues related to deliveries or payment discrepancies
  • Represents the company with distinction at trade shows and regional meetings, delivering impactful presentations that showcase the brand
  • Other duties as assigned
