Regional Sales Manager, Commercial Lighting - Northeast Territory The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the planning, management and execution of all activities required to manage existing and new partner relationships. This includes executing business plans to increase product awareness, drive Crestron sales revenue and margin, as well as identify market opportunities and growth areas within assigned territory. This role requires up to 60% - 70% travel within NYC, NY State, Northern NJ, Long Island, New England & Ohio -- as well as to industry conferences and company events. Remote Position: Candidate must live within Northeast sales territory

Requirements

  • Proven ability to build new business and meet or exceed sales quotas
  • Strong relationship building with executive or management personnel (internal and external partners)
  • Must have experience in writing, successfully implementing and tracking a well-prepared sales plan
  • Successful group presentations experience is essential
  • Results oriented self-starter, energetic, determined to succeed, entrepreneurial individual placing primary focus on the departmental goals and objectives
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, and works well with others in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to partner and collaborate successfully with colleagues to achieve goals
  • Ability to travel up to 60% - Must have valid U.S. Drivers' license with the ability to drive in every state of your territory; and be able to travel up to 60% (by either car, airplane, or train).
  • Candidate must live within the sales territory (NYC, NY State, Northern NJ, Long Island, New England or Ohio)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with agencies in the Lighting Industry
  • Multi-Unit Management/Building/Facilities management experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Lighting Controls technology
  • Experience using AutoCAD and / or Bluebeam are a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute joint partner business plans with the goal of meeting and exceeding the company’s target growth and margin targets.
  • Achieve/exceed established target revenues and gross margin and other key performance indicators
  • Review and understand market and industry factors to formulate appropriate business plan initiatives and accurate forecasts
  • Become knowledgeable on all Crestron Commercial Lighting products
  • Deliver product and sales training with the appropriate partners to develop sales opportunities
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities with appropriate partners
  • Maintain accurate and timely account records as needed for efficient account management
  • Inform management of issues and trends that may affect business outcome and success of the sales team
  • Establish and maintain relationships with engineering firms, electrical contractors, electrical distributors and other accounts that directly influence buying decisions
  • Follow through, negotiate quoted projects to close orders
  • Build and maintain high visibility with key accounts and establish relationships with key employees at these accounts
  • Increase Crestron as basis of design specifications, working closely with Agencies, engineering and architectural firms
  • Manage agent sales force to assist in all the above activities
