We are seeking an experienced sales manager to lead our business development efforts with a focus on our industrial and OEM market as we expand our unique services throughout Central Virginia. Also, this role will serve as Branch Manager for our location in Richmond, Virginia. This position will implement the strategy for the region and identify new opportunities while engaging in and providing leadership, coaching, development, guidance and support to those responsible for growing and servicing new and existing accounts in our Central Virginia Region. This role manages a team of Key Account Managers. You will report to the VP of Sales for Virginia and will be located out of EECO’s Richmond VA branch.

Requirements

  • BS in Business or Engineering or equivalent work experience in either the Electrical or Industrial/Manufacturing industries.
  • 4+ years previous managerial or leadership experience.
  • Previous experience in WW, WWT, Utility, Industrial Automation.
  • Previous experience in heavy industrial, Automation OEMs, Power Modernization, and MRO.
  • Demonstrated project management experience to include review of complex legal contracts and terms and conditions.
  • Familiarity with B2B sales to industrial markets.
  • Strong communications skills (both written and oral).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with both ERP and CRM implementations.
  • Ability to manage with a matrix organization.
  • This position will work in a variety of environments (outdoors and non-climate-controlled facilities).
  • Will be driving to customer locations within the Central Virginia region and therefore must maintain an acceptable driving record and vehicle. Generous mileage reimbursement is provided.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical competency in a broad range of industrial electrical components and systems preferred.
  • Previous experience in electrical, industrial, and manufacturing industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance and support for those responsible for addressing customer needs from fact finding through proposal.
  • Works with local vendors to establish relationships at the field level.
  • Develops key metrics for the sales team to ensure the attainment of the regional goals.
  • Coordinates sales activities - such as training, vendor promotions and initiatives.
  • Provides development, coaching and mentoring activities with newer members of the sales team.
  • Executes sales strategies to support overall regional objectives.
  • Establishes professional relationships in specific customer accounts and prospecting new accounts.
  • Coordinates the involvement of other company staff members to meet account performance objectives and customer expectations.
  • Assists KAMs (Key Account Managers) in resolving any customer concern issues while maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings.
