About The Position

The AMC Regional Sales Manager for Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah is responsible for selling EBSCO Information Services products to academic institutions, corporate libraries, and medical libraries. This role focuses on retaining existing revenue and developing new sales opportunities to meet established growth and renewal quotas. The position requires extensive travel within the assigned territory and involves collaboration with various sales team members to deliver presentations and pricing proposals.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of sales experience in the Academic field is preferred.
  • Experience with SaaS and Information Service sales is a plus.
  • Proven communication, follow-up, and sales skills are essential.
  • Must live within the territory: Salt Lake City, UT (and surrounding area) or Greater Phoenix, AZ (and surrounding area).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires constant learning and adapting.
  • Technical selling experience to sell SaaS products.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
  • Experience in territory management and cold calling.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and video conferencing technology.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with side-by-side comparison selling of research databases.

Responsibilities

  • Retain existing revenue and develop new sales opportunities to achieve sales growth and renewal quotas.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Sales, Director of ACM Sales, and Account Executive for the region.
  • Provide formal pricing proposals and coordinate trials with Account Executive as appropriate.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations driven by the solution sales process.
  • Travel 70% of the time for in-person meetings with customers and prospects, and attend conferences and sales meetings.
  • Achieve expert-level knowledge of EBSCO products and competition.
  • Provide market input for product development and marketing purposes.
  • Develop and report weekly sales strategy and progress towards sales quotas to the VP of Sales.
  • Average 25 face-to-face visits per month with prospects and existing clients.
