About The Position

The Regional Safety Trainer is responsible for implementing and conducting safety and technical training programs for regional personnel at Utilities Service, LLC. This role emphasizes the company's training process and the Line Clearance Qualification Standard (LCQS), ensuring that crew certifications are checked and that training is conducted properly. The position involves assisting the Regional Safety Supervisor with job site safety audits and enforcing corporate policies and procedures, all under the direct supervision of the Region Manager.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Valid DOT Medical Card required.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred.
• Ability to climb trees and operate a chainsaw.
• Ability to communicate safety rules and procedures clearly.
• Knowledge of vegetation industry specialized equipment.
• Ability to operate and service all company-provided tools and equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and conduct safety and technical training programs for regional personnel.
• Assist the Regional Safety Supervisor with job site safety audits.
• Check crew certifications and ensure compliance with the Line Clearance Qualification Standard (LCQS).
• Perform and teach new and advanced climbing methods.
• Demonstrate and teach tree felling and rigging procedures.
• Administer the Driver Management Program and be trained in the corporate DMP program.
• Perform and teach DOT Pre-Trip Inspection.
• Administer company-approved training programs.
• Perform and teach First Aid and CPR.
• Attend periodic company-approved training programs.
