About The Position

Job Summary: The Regional HSE Manager provides leadership and operational support for all health, safety, and environmental programs across the company’s Eastern US operations. This role ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state-specific regulations while promoting a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and accountability. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in the HVAC/mechanical industry, strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, and the ability to engage field teams in proactive risk management.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in a safety role with experience in home services or construction
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-state HSE programs and building field engagement.
  • Experience in environmental compliance (air, waste, water, refrigerant, or chemical management).
  • Must be able to work 4 days in the field, 1 day in a home/division office weekly.
  • Must be able to travel 3 weeks per month in the field, 1 week per month from home base location
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Computer competency is required, including experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Must be able to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to work overtime with little notice ; weekends hours may occasionally be required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates employee safety performance through job site inspections, ensuring compliance with OSHA 1926/1910 standards and company policies and procedures.
  • Provides prompt feedback and takes necessary actions to immediately correct any deficiencies found to maintain safety compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Maintains effective documentation to generate weekly reports and make recommendations for the effectiveness of safety programs and training.
  • Understands the Safety and Health Program Responsibilities defined in the Airtron Safety Manual.
  • Ensures company locations, job sites and work activities are compliant with company safety policies, EPA, state and local environmental regulations, including hazardous waste, refrigerant management, and spill prevention.
  • Supports compliance with Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) programs, and waste management plans.
  • Conducts environmental audits of company locations and job sites for air, water, and waste compliance.
  • Evaluates and recommends measures to eliminate hazards or reduce risk to acceptable levels/conditions.
  • Assists in the development and promotion of communications related to safety and health of all workers.
  • Assists with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and follow-up corrective action tracking.
  • Organizes & conducts post incident review discussions for all company related incidents that resulted in a recordable injury.
  • Facilitates safety training programs, safety meetings, and onboarding for field employees and subcontractors.
  • Promotes site-specific safety planning, and continuous risk reduction.
  • Monitors regional safety performance metrics and deliver monthly performance reports with data-driven insights.
  • Serve as HSE liaison to clients, regulatory agencies, and corporate management for compliance, audits, and reporting.
  • Assists with audits and assessments at Airtron locations to ensure compliance with company procedures, applicable federal, state, and local regulations specific to safety activities.
  • Participates in emergency response planning and serves as regional lead for environmental incidents as needed.
  • Verifies employee training is up to date when they are observed operating equipment – (powered industrial truck, fall protection, aerial lift, etc.)
  • Ensures adequate inventory of PPE safety items are available to employees in the field.
  • Discusses safety and health as a value adding topic during employee interactions.
  • Is a role model for safety through personal actions and behaviors.
  • Assist Corporate Safety with development of new programs or changes / updates to current programs (by actively providing feedback).
  • Review Confined Space forms, Hot Work Permits, etc. and provides timely feedback when necessary.
  • Develop a strong working relationship, through regular communication, with the Line Management and Division Leadership teams.
  • Other duties as assigned
