About The Position

As a Regional Safety Manager, you’ll be a visible, trusted partner on our jobsites—coaching crews, reinforcing our Production Risk Management approach, and ensuring every employee goes home safely each day. You’ll combine hands-on field engagement with proactive hazard identification, thoughtful documentation, and meaningful follow-through on incident prevention, making you a key driver of continuous improvement across our operations. We are looking for a dedicated Regional Safety Manager to join our team in San Francisco Bay Area. The Regional Safety Manager position may be assigned to oversee safety operations at a single site or be responsible for managing safety across multiple job sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent safety experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in heavy construction safety.
  • Experience leading safety training, workshops or courses related to civil construction
  • Cal/OSHA 30-hour construction training course.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications
  • Required to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to different job sites.
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends and possibly overtime as required.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce company safety policies through personal interaction with project teams and field leaders and employees on jobsites.
  • Teach, coach, and mentor the company’s Safety Culture through Production Risk Management (PRM). May assist with training efforts, based on department needs.
  • Conduct site surveys to evaluate safety program implementation & compliance.
  • Write & review safety documentation (Job Hazard Analysis, incident reports, pictures, traffic control plans, pothole excavation plan, etc.) at each jobsite visited.
  • Attend daily safety meetings, providing Safety Training and awareness.
  • Proactively identify hazards to prevent harm to employees, equipment, and the environment.
  • Investigate & document incidents, accidents, and near misses at the scene.
  • Track progress of “Future Preventative Measures” from incident investigations to completion.
  • Utilize resources (local, state, federal) to evaluate risk management effectiveness.
