About The Position

The Regional Safety Manager is responsible for leading and implementing safety programs across multiple branches, plants, and distribution operations within an assigned geographic region. This role partners closely with regional and branch leadership to drive a proactive safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, reduce workplace incidents, and protect employees, customers, and company assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of safety experience in industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or transportation environments
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, HazMat, and environmental regulations
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to influence leaders and employees at all levels
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned region
  • Ability to visit field locations, warehouses, plants, and distribution sites
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work in warehouse and plant environments with exposure to noise and industrial conditions
  • Regional travel required

  • Professional certification (CSP, CHST, ASP, or equivalent) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce corporate safety policies and procedures across the region
  • Conduct regular site audits, safety inspections, and compliance reviews
  • Monitor compliance with OSHA, DOT, HazMat, EPA, and other applicable regulations
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses
  • Develop and oversee corrective action plans
  • Track and analyze safety metrics (TRIR, DART, near-miss reporting, etc.)
  • Deliver regional safety training and toolbox talks
  • Support regulatory inspections and audit preparedness
  • Partner with regional operations leadership to drive accountability
  • Assist with fleet safety, driver compliance, and field safety initiatives
  • Promote continuous improvement and best practices across facilities
