About The Position

Sentara Hospital Support Services is hiring a Registered Nurse to work in our Regional Resource Pool covering four hospitals in Western Tidewater and Peninsula regions. This position offers Premium Differential Pay, Flexible Self Scheduling, and requires a minimum of 48 scheduled hours per pay month. The RN will be responsible for providing competent nursing care as demonstrated by the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation. The RN must possess clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards required by specific clinical areas.

Requirements

• Minimum RN experience of 18 months.
• Registered Nurse Diploma (Required).
• Registered Nurse License (Required).
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Emergency Medicine care.
• Ability to work Nights PRN status.

Responsibilities

• Perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the nursing process.
• Work in all units for which they are qualified and a minimum of two different units.
• Provide availability to work no more than two weeks in advance.
• Complete a minimum of 48 scheduled hours per pay month.
• Work 4, 12-hour night shifts, including one weekend night shift per month.
