About The Position

The Regional Relationship Advisor at Hudson Valley Credit Union is responsible for providing exceptional member service through efficient transaction processing and a consultative sales approach. This role focuses on establishing new member relationships and deepening existing ones, while also cross-selling HVCU products and services. The advisor will float between various locations as needed, ensuring that member needs are met effectively and efficiently.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED certificate required.
  • NYS Notary Public license to be achieved within 12 months of obtaining the position.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service and sales experience in a financial institution or retail environment required.
  • Previous teller or cash handling experience in a financial institution or retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process transactions.
  • Educate members about convenient transaction processing methods.
  • Resolve member complaints and concerns quickly and efficiently.
  • Assist with member inbound calls to support the Contact Center.
  • Utilize a needs-based sales approach to uncover members' financial needs.
  • Handle large volumes of cash and negotiable items.
  • Assist management with daily operational tasks including operator, ATM, TellerInfinity, and branch proof.
  • Open new memberships, accounts, and loans, and process related transactions.
  • Refer members to branch business partners for additional services as appropriate.
  • Follow all applicable policies and procedures consistently.
  • Utilize required programs and systems for cross-selling HVCU products and services.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of credit union products and services through ongoing training.
  • Train new Universal Branch Associates as needed.
  • Meet or exceed established individual and team goals through the HVCU Sales and Service model.
  • Support marketing programs and promotions by creating member awareness.
  • Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in required training and development, including Bank Secrecy Act training.
  • Participate in Credit Union teams, projects, and strategic initiatives when opportunities arise.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Embrace and apply HVCU's guiding principles in all activities and responsibilities.
