About The Position

The Regional Quality Specialist (RQS) provides centralized quality assurance, data validation, and reporting support to ensure Concerto facilities maintain excellence in clinical outcomes, compliance with quality programs, and readiness for QAPI review. The RQS reports to the Regional Quality & Regulatory Manager (RQRM–RN) and collaborates with Clinical Operations Nurses (CONs), and facility teams to validate quality data, track performance trends, and ensure accurate submission of all required reporting to NHSN, QNet, and internal platforms. This role ensures integrity, consistency, and accountability in quality performance tracking across all markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience accepted.
  • Dialysis experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in dialysis, healthcare quality, or data management role.
  • Strong understanding of CMS Quality Incentive Program (QIP), NHSN reporting, and ESRD QNet requirements.
  • Experience preparing or reviewing QAPI documentation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and data accuracy.
  • Ability to organize, track, and report across multiple facilities and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with remote and field-based teams.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Data Validation and Reporting
  • Validates the accuracy of quality data in Power BI, NHSN, QNet, and EQRS to ensure consistency across systems.
  • Conducts monthly reviews of facility metrics, identifying discrepancies and working with RQRMs and CONs to correct errors before reporting deadlines.
  • Ensures all required data elements for QIP measures (anemia, adequacy, vascular access type, vaccinations, hospitalization) are complete and accurate.
  • Monitors trends and outliers in clinical performance and prepares summary dashboards for review during QAPI and leadership meetings.
  • Supports facility and regional teams with NHSN reporting for infection events, ensuring timely and compliant submissions.
  • Tracks vaccination completion and documentation in alignment with CMS and internal requirements.
  • Validates the integrity of QAPI and monthly data reports prior to submission to Corporate Quality leadership.
  • QAPI and Performance Improvement Support
  • Prepares, reviews, and organizes QAPI packets for assigned facilities, ensuring alignment with Concerto templates and standards.
  • Assists RQRMs and facility leadership in developing measurable performance improvement plans.
  • Tracks the completion of facility QAPI action items, ensuring evidence of follow-up and documented outcomes.
  • Supports standardization of QAPI processes across markets to ensure uniformity and compliance.
  • Provides feedback to RQRMs and CONs on recurring QAPI documentation gaps or trends.
  • Maintains a centralized repository for QAPI documentation and meeting minutes.
  • Data Tracking and Analysis
  • Compiles monthly and quarterly reports on quality outcomes and improvement initiatives for assigned regions.
  • Analyzes metrics for anemia, adequacy, vascular access, infection control, and vaccination compliance.
  • Assists in identifying systemic trends or performance risks and communicates findings to RQRMs and the Director of Quality & Regulatory Compliance.
  • Supports benchmarking projects and assists in the preparation of quality dashboards and visual summaries for leadership reporting.
  • Tracks completion and accuracy of facility clinical audits and improvement projects.
  • Collaboration and Communication
  • Collaborates closely with RQRMs, CONs, and Corporate Quality staff to ensure alignment of data validation and reporting practices.
  • Provides technical assistance and training to facility staff on QAPI documentation, data submission, and quality monitoring tools.
  • Supports facility survey readiness by ensuring that quality performance and QAPI documentation are complete and current.
  • Communicates findings, discrepancies, and recommendations clearly and timely to leadership.
  • Promotes a culture of accuracy, transparency, and accountability in quality performance reporting.
  • Administrative and Project Support
  • Maintains documentation of all data corrections, follow-ups, and quality-related communications.
  • Supports internal and external audit preparation by ensuring data and QAPI materials are organized and readily accessible.
  • Participates in special quality projects, pilots, and process-improvement initiatives as assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned; responsibilities are not limited to those listed above.
