About The Position

The Regional Operations Manager at the Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) plays a crucial role in overseeing the management of LIHI's housing and commercial properties. Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Property Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of six years of senior management experience in residential property management or housing services.
  • Strong management, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse economic, social, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Commitment to the Housing First model and working with low-income populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement policies and manage operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing multiple properties.
  • Familiarity with HUD, LIHTC, HOME, Section 8, and other affordable housing programs.
  • Experience with supportive housing.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, lead, motivate, train, and supervise Area Managers.
  • Recommend and implement strategies to increase revenue and minimize expenses.
  • Supervise and authorize contract services and approve expenses exceeding area manager authority.
  • Monitor and evaluate insurance claims and contractor selection.
  • Ensure acceptable levels of unit turnover time, occupancy, and delinquency rates.
  • Assist with staffing plans and hiring within the department.
  • Conduct leadership meetings and one-on-one check-ins with staff.
  • Ensure maximum service levels and positive resident outcomes.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect units and common areas.
  • Research funding resources and monitor site-level funding utilization.
  • Develop and implement new policies and procedures.
