About The Position

Plaisted Companies in Elk River, MN is looking for Regional Propane Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for driving/operating a tractor with a tanker trailer to pick up propane at the supply point and deliver it to area facilities. Completing proper paperwork in an accurate, timely manner, including driver sheets, driver logs, equipment inspection forms, etc. is a must. This position requires a CDL Class A license with hazmat and tank endorsements.

Requirements

• Propane Requirements during the busy season (December-March) Must be willing to work evenings, overnights, and weekends during a 5-day period. Examples of schedules include Thursday through Monday and Monday through Friday. Rotation of the schedule may be required during the busy season as well.
• Must hold Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsement
• Must be willing to work evenings, overnights, and weekends. Overnights includes sleeping in the truck.
• No more than one moving violation in the previous 2 years
• Pass a 5 Panel Drug test (Urinalysis)
• Pass a Back and Extremity exam
• Be 21yrs + of age
• Unexpired Medical Card

Responsibilities

• Drive assigned Tractor/tanker trailer to pick up propane and deliver to assigned facilities
• Safely and efficiently transfer product between transport and bulk storage
• Perform required daily vehicle inspections
• Maintain active drivers license, medical card and truck operation in full compliance with DOT laws.
• Manage your driving records, maintain logbook, perform Pre/Post Trip inspections and document defects.
• Ensure that material is properly secured and within weight limits
• Communicate with your supervisor throughout the day
• Maintain schedules when delivering, to meet customer expectations
• Submit delivery documents after each delivery cycle (daily).
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times ensuring customer loyalty
• Abide by all polices, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations and procedures
• Provide excellent customer service
• Excellent/professional communication skills
