The Department of Urology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) in Madison, Wisconsin is recruiting a pediatric urologist to care for patients at regional sites outside Dane County. We are seeking a fellowship-trained pediatric urologist to deliver state-of-the art medical and surgical care, while advancing the field and training the next generation of physicians. Candidates on the CHS track are expected to establish an academic program and disseminate their findings through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national professional meetings. Service to the institution and profession are also expected. Madison, the capital city of Wisconsin, is situated on several scenic lakes, and is frequently cited as one of the best cities in which to live. This position is part-time, 20-50% This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location. This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.   • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health.
  • An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.
  • Clinical duties include office visits, ambulatory procedures, state-of-the-art surgery, and call.
  • Completion of Urology Residency
  • Completion Pediatric Urology Fellowship by start date
  • Must have or be eligible for a Wisconsin Medical License
  • Board-certified or board eligible in Pediatric Urology by start date of position
  • Must be eligible for enrollment as a UW Health billing provider and all necessary hospital privileges, by the start date of the position
  • For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS Track.
