About The Position

As part of the Open Road Collision, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality collision repair services with exceptional customer care. Our team is dedicated to restoring vehicles to pre-accident condition while making the repair process as smooth and stress-free as possible for our customers. We're currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Regional Parts Director. The Regional Parts Director is a key leadership role responsible for shaping and optimizing our parts departments and processes across all locations. This individual will serve as a resource and partner for shop and operations leadership, ensuring operational excellence, profitability, and efficiency. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, capable of developing and implementing process improvements, managing vendor relationships, and demonstrating measurable value from start to finish within the parts department. This position will require periodic travel to support operations. Why This Role Matters At OpenRoad Collision, the parts department is the lifeblood of our repair operations. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in collision parts management
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to see the “big picture”
  • Solid understanding of DRP estimating guidelines
  • Deep knowledge of how parts decisions impact financial outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Overall Parts Department Health
  • Establish benchmarks for optimal operational output
  • Provide data-driven insights to shop leadership and parts teams to drive improvement
  • Parts Gross Profit
  • Grow companywide parts gross profit through management of shop processes
  • Ordering decisions
  • Posting accuracy
  • Billing recovery
  • Pending Credits Management
  • Maintain a healthy balance and timely resolution of pending credits
  • Improve shop and parts-level behaviors to reduce unnecessary returns
  • Accounts Payable Communication
  • Utilize missing invoice tracker to ensure seamless payment processing with AP team
  • Improve daily practices to minimize invoice discrepancies and reduce missing or misapplied invoices
  • Vendor Relationship & Utilization
  • Maintain and strengthen primary vendor relationships, proactively addressing pain points and ensuring mutual success.
  • Monitor and verify vendor usage to maintain or improve discount structures and pricing agreements.
