The Regional Operations Manager is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing a group of properties within a designated market. This position serves as the primary representative of the company in the market, ensuring that all operational aspects are managed effectively. Key responsibilities include financial performance, property maintenance, safety, staffing, training, and ensuring both guest and employee satisfaction. The Regional Operations Manager will manage General Managers, Floating Managers, and Regional Maintenance Technicians, requiring interaction at all staff levels to monitor adherence to corporate policies and procedures, evaluate quality standards, and maintain high levels of guest satisfaction. In this role, the manager will be expected to train teams within their assigned regions to uphold brand-specific operating standards, particularly regarding cleanliness and property upkeep. Leading a team of General Managers and Maintenance Technicians, the manager will ensure high employee and guest satisfaction scores. Responsibilities also include interviewing, hiring, and training candidates, as well as providing ongoing support and development for staff across all operational areas. The manager will maintain open lines of communication with both the corporate office and team members, ensuring that Quality Assurance expectations are met through regular inspections. The Regional Operations Manager will also be responsible for monitoring staffing and scheduling requirements, ensuring that quality and labor expense goals are achieved. This role requires a proactive approach to managing repair and maintenance issues, identifying capital expenditure needs, and making recommendations for property improvements. Additionally, the manager will assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monitor competitors to inform pricing decisions. The position demands a strong focus on driving performance, maximizing revenue, and ensuring compliance with safety and security policies within the assigned market.
