The OB/GYN practice provides comprehensive outpatient gynecological and obstetrical care to patients. Seeking an individual with demonstrated leadership, clinical and management skills. Accountability for the daily operations of regional ambulatory OB/GYN health practice(s), nursing budget and staff, quality of nursing care provided and managing practice changes to meet patient needs. The position includes direct oversight of Ambulatory Technicians and Nurses. Additionally, works in collaboration with the practice manager and medical director for those clinical area(s). This individual will serve as the ambulatory liaison for outpatient OB/GYN specialty clinics within the program. Must exhibit excellent communication skills, creativity and the ability to focus on teamwork and patient outcomes. Requirements

  • MS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years OB/GYN experience required.
  • Must exhibit excellent communication skills, creativity and the ability to focus on teamwork and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains 24 hour-a-day accountability for all patient care and nursing activities on assigned outpatient unit.
  • Oversees and directs unit activities including standards development, human resource management, assessment of resource needs and utilization, staff development and communication within nursing practice as well as among other disciplines and departments.
  • Oversees all performance improvement activities at the unit level and participates in committees at all levels within the institution.
  • Accountability for the daily operations of regional ambulatory OB/GYN health practice(s), nursing budget and staff, quality of nursing care provided and managing practice changes to meet patient needs.
