About The Position

The Regional Mortgage Operations Manager oversees the daily sales and production operations for the distributed channel at Northwest Bank. This role is pivotal in implementing strategies, policies, and guidelines to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry regulations. The manager will lead a team to achieve key performance indicators, manage resources effectively, and enhance customer experience through collaboration with regional sales managers and public agencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, or related experience preferred.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 5 - 6 years of business, finance, or related experience preferred.
• NMLS REGISTRY certification required.

• Strong understanding of CRA lending and public agency relationships.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day sales and production operations for the distributed channel.
• Implement procedures to meet or exceed operational goals.
• Manage work hours and FTEs to control costs and ensure balanced workloads.
• Respond to monthly quality control findings and implement improvement plans.
• Assist with monthly metrics reporting, including staff changes and utilization rates.
• Calculate and provide monthly incentive payments to Human Resources.
• Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to achieve department goals.
• Make decisions on consumer, equity, and mortgage loans.
• Expand relationships with public agencies to increase production of CRA lending.
• Exercise credit judgment and creativity in pricing and underwriting exceptions.
• Work with retail offices and internal partners on approval and exception requests.
• Maximize results by considering portfolio balances, yields, and risk in credit decisions.
• Ensure compliance with investor, insurer, and Northwest policies, as well as mortgage industry regulations.
• Mentor team members to improve performance and results.
• Implement procedures to retain loans and generate activity from new and existing customers.
