With a 'home' branch in Lynn, provide float branch coverage for our Region 2 branches (Burlington; Lawrence; Tewksbury; Reading; Salem; Medford; Lynn; Peabody - Main, Andover St.) for various job functions in both front-end member service and secondary back-end support services. Cover member needs across a variety of delivery channels, such as face to face, over the phone, and online. Mileage will be reimbursed when working at branches other than your 'home' branch.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Prior banking or financial experience strongly preferred
  • Basic knowledge of computer software
  • Flexibility and ability to establish rapport quickly with others
  • Strong communication skills and service-oriented
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with data input skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide float coverage to assigned Region's branches by assisting with day-to-day operations, open and closing of branch locations, teller and member service support
  • Assist with secondary support duties via phone support for the Universal Service Center and answering Secure Messages
  • Identify financial needs of new and existing members while providing exemplary service and instilling a strong business relationship
  • Accurately complete all account opening requirements, teller transactions, and end of day branch balancing, as assigned
  • Conduct consumer loan interviews; aid members in the completion of loan applications including verifying identification, obtaining required signatures, and ensuring that approval conditions are met
  • Contribute to sales goals; make effective referrals to Retail partners
  • Resolve member escalations by determining cause of the problem, selecting, and explaining the best solution, expediting correction/adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution meets the members needs
  • Comply with all Metro policies and standard operating procedures ('SOPs'), with particular attention to Office of Foreign Assets Control ('OFAC') and security transactions, and Bank Secrecy Act ('BSA')
  • Maintain confidentiality of member information and bank operations
  • Provide as needed supervisory support to branch staff in the absence of a dedicated Branch Supervisor when assigned to a branch location
