ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS As the Regional Medical Director, you provide strategic clinical leadership and oversight across multiple care centers within your assigned region. You are responsible for ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality, value-based care by a diverse team of providers including physicians, APRNs, and PAs who will directly report to you. Your role primarily focuses on driving the clinical outcomes of your centers through reducing hospital sick days, managing medical expenses for each clinic, and improving quality metrics such as HEDIS and Star Ratings, managing regulatory compliance, and supporting clinical-operational goals across all centers in your assigned region in partnership with your operational business partner. You collaborate closely with clinical, operational, and executive teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement, patient-centered care, and provider development, while navigating the complexities of managing varied clinical settings and specialties. Provide clinical leadership and oversight for multiple care centers, ensuring standardized, evidence-based care delivery. Lead medical cost reduction strategy to reduce and control medical expenses for each clinic, ensuring cost-effective utilization practices using company-derived KPIs. DYAD Partnership Work collaboratively with your operational business partner to align on clinical business needs and cost-effective strategies. Maintain regular communication on clinical performance and engagement with clinical model of care. Partner on clinical KPIs and incentive plans to align patient outcomes to management goals. Lead and support a multidisciplinary team of providers including physicians, APRNs, PAs, and other clinical staff. Drive quality improvement initiatives targeting HEDIS measures, Star Ratings, risk adjustment accuracy, and patient satisfaction. Identify physician recruitment needs and collaborate on provider recruitment, credentialing, onboarding, and ongoing professional development. Build strong relationships with hospitalists, SNF, and other network providers to form a narrow network of quality service. Monitor compliance with federal, state, and organizational policies and regulatory requirements across all centers. Collaborate with operational leaders to optimize clinical workflows, resource allocation, and patient access. Facilitate communication and alignment between clinics, regional leadership, and corporate medical leadership. Analyze clinical performance data and implement targeted interventions to address gaps or variances. Participate in regional governance, quality committees, and strategic planning efforts. Lead initiatives to improve care coordination and integration across providers and settings. Manage clinical risk, incident investigations, and corrective actions region-wide. Maintain own clinical practice as appropriate to support leadership credibility and clinical insight.

  • Travel to your regional medical centers to provide direct clinical engagement. Centers are located regionally, and the expectation is direct engagement every week.
