Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, Military, or other relevant experience preferred
  • Ability to exhibit progressive forward-thinking leadership. Experience overseeing a multi-location environment is preferred
  • Proven ability to adapt to different working environments
  • Ability to achieve results by motivating others into action
  • Proven track record on supporting change initiatives and ensuring the team can easily adapt to, and manage the change effectively and with positivity
  • Experience in core leadership competencies including, establishing collaborative working relationships, project management, planning, building accountability, follow-up, process improvement, contingency planning, communication, attention to detail, and strong presentation skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adjust your tone/communication style according to your audience
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills using logic and help to identify alternative solutions to complex problems
  • Strong decision-making skills -- will consider benefits and risks to potential decisions to choose the most appropriate course of action

Responsibilities

  • Inspires and manages team by using an innovative, high level, servant leadership style
  • Manages Regional Operations for the assigned region via frequent travel conducting store visits to monitor and measure field effectiveness, competency, and overall environment
  • Create a highly engaged team environment that drives execution, innovation, and productivity through detailed analysis of the business
  • Proactively manages the performance of General Managers and address all areas of opportunity quickly to redirect or take appropriate action
  • Sets goals and regularly monitors General Manager performance and ensures that each of them has the tools and support to achieve success
  • Partners with HR to attract, recruit, develop and retain a diverse, high performing team of General Managers
  • Ensure assigned locations are compliant with laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Disseminate pertinent knowledge through the management chain to ensure transparency and clarity on company goals and initiatives
  • Responsible for customer relationships
  • Identifying knowledge and skill gaps amongst your team of General Managers and ensure there are remedies for said gaps
  • Brand ambassador of the company's mission, vision, values, and culture
  • RM must have a thorough understanding of current Governmental guidelines/laws within the area of responsibility and leverage Copart's internal Government relations team for future passage of regulations to meet the company's strategic initiatives
  • Will share ownership of the land acquisition process. This is to ensure the needs of the responsible area are continually met to support current and future growth including interacting with local government entities
  • Help to identify the needs and demands of the business by becoming a subject matter expert (SME) in all process areas. Understand different technologies and trends, and deliver innovative and optimal solutions that will support the execution of business strategies
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of leadership and staff throughout the organization with tact and professionalism
  • Help General Managers understand their profit and loss statements, manage costs, and operates each location with fiscal responsibility
