About The Position
The Regional Manager Marketplace Exchange is responsible for leading and maintaining efforts to ensure the UnityPoint Health System is operationally prepared to assist individuals on the Marketplace Insurance Exchange. This includes overseeing the year-round operation of the UPH Des Moines internal Call Center and ensuring consumers can make insurance enrollment appointments at the appropriate UPH affiliate. The role involves training and maintaining Program Management of the system-wide Patient Financial Coordinators/Certified Application Counselors with each Affiliate's Leadership team to provide and sustain standardization. The manager will coordinate regional teams of Outreach and PFC/CAC staff to support Qualified Health Plan (QHP), Iowa and Illinois Medicaid year-round enrollment activities, and facilitate community outreach events to educate Illinoisans and Iowans on the Affordable Care Act and insurance coverage in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner. Additionally, the manager will represent UPH as the CMS Liaison and the Iowa and Illinois DHS Liaison, ensuring compliance with UPH CAC regulations and staying current on changes to CMS regulations and the Marketplace-Healthcare.gov.
