About The Position

The Regional Manager, Canyon Area Operations has full authority and responsibility to direct all phases of day-to-day operation at the Canyon Lodge and the Canyon campground all located within the Canyon region of Yellowstone National Park. This position will be involved with off-season planning for these areas as well as in-season management of this hotel property and the direct oversight of the Canyon Campground Operations. The position is full-time year-round, with a typical schedule of 40 hours per week, which may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Requirements

  • Business Management or Hospitality Degree or 3-5 years equivalent experience with Yellowstone Operations preferred
  • Possession of valid driver's license and safe driving history required
  • Minimum of 3 years general/administrative, full-service hospitality management experience required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Motivational, organizational, analytical and time management skills
  • Knowledge of Xanterra policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop seasonal property management teams to achieve financial and guest service objectives
  • Ensure compliance with guest service standards, National Park Service regulations, and company policies
  • Collaborate with various departments on recruitment, training, and development of staff at all levels
  • Manage labor expenses and other operational costs while maintaining high service standards
  • Monitor and improve guest and employee satisfaction through regular inspections, feedback analysis, and action plans
  • Serve as a liaison between the company, National Park Service, and other park partners
  • Oversee and participate in property operations, including evaluations, sustainability initiatives, and risk management
  • Continuously seek improvements in efficiency, processes, and procedures to maximize revenue and enhance guest service
