Episcopal Retirement Services is hiring a Regional Maintenance Supervisor to oversee all aspects of the Maintenance teams' processes, including coordination, scheduling, process improvement, and preventative maintenance. Requirements

  • Possesses, as a minimum, a high school diploma.
  • Has, as a minimum, 2 years combined supervisory experience in building materials, maintenance or facilities maintenance.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Supports team and process based organizational culture.
  • Able to read, write and communicate effectively in the English language.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and agrees to frequent regional travel/day trips (approximately two to three days each week) and occasional overnight travel.
  • Maintains a valid state driver's license and auto insurance coverage.
  • Possesses sight/hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately.
  • Able and willing to work independently with flexibility and integrity, as well as effectively and harmoniously with team members, residents, family members, volunteers, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  • Able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile people within the community.
  • Moves equipment and supplies weighing up to 75 lbs on a regular basis and up to 100 lbs on an occasional basis.
  • Must be fully up-to-date with required vaccinations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of the Maintenance teams' processes including coordination, scheduling, process improvement, and preventative maintenance.
  • Coordinates, supervises and performs maintenance and repairs of the buildings and equipment, including painting, plumbing, electrical wiring and carpentry.
  • Assists in the development of a staffing plan, recruitment, management, and development of maintenance team members.
  • Maintains community inspection reports including fire protection, back flow, pest control, elevator, etc.
  • Ensures a safe and calm environment in accordance with regulations and ERS standards.
  • Develops effective processes to deliver results in quality, value, customer satisfaction, financial results, team member satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
  • Acquires and manages the supplies and inventory of tools and equipment for maintenance teams.
  • Participates in emergency and disaster response.
  • Maintains and develops knowledge of maintenance fields through participation in networks, associations, and other professional development opportunities.
  • Takes lead with onsite maintenance teams to prepare and respond to all major 3rd party inspections.
  • Available by cell phone during off hours for emergencies and team member support.
