The Regional Maintenance Floater plays a critical role in ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of facilities across multiple locations North of Boston. This position involves traveling to various sites in our portfolio to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and execute repairs to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, able to quickly assess and respond to diverse maintenance challenges, and work independently or as part of a team. By maintaining high standards of safety and quality, the Regional Maintenance Floater supports the overall productivity and success of the organization. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential problems and implementing effective solutions to sustain smooth operations across the region.

Requirements

  • 6 months+ of trade experience or building maintenance
  • You have a working knowledge of the equipment needed to make repairs on the property, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Essentially, you love fixing things, making spaces more pleasing for the people who inhabit them, and you’re always ready to lend a helping hand even in high-stress situations.
  • You’re great at identifying safety concerns and solving them.

Nice To Haves

  • As a plus, you have specialized trade experience in plumbing, electrical, roofing, or HVAC.

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily maintenance requests professionally and expediently.
  • Remain at the ready for emergency maintenance needs, emergency flood situations, and back-to-back move-ins.
  • Make repairs in the building to things like doors, locks, tiles, and handrails.
  • Monitor and work closely with outside contractors and suppliers.
  • Maintain paperwork and invoices related to your work.
