About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Continuous Improvement. We are seeking a Regional Lean Manager (also known in Prysmian as a Kaizen Promotion Office (KPO) Regional Manager) to support Lean implementation at the regional level. The KPO Regional Manager works closely with site Lean Leaders to build Lean capability. They are the engine of continuous improvement, identifying inefficiencies, solving problems, and contributing to the culture of Lean by implementing Kaizen methodologies and the Prysmian Excellence System (PES). Position Description & Responsibilities Liaison for the business units Manufacturing VPs, providing regional-based problem-solving engagement and drive the Prysmian Excellence System (PPS) and Kaizen culture. Cascade Hoshin goals from business units down to individual contributors, ensuring everyone understands their role in achieving business units’ vision. Serves as a change agent, embedding Kaizen and Lean Principles across all sites and ensuring initiatives are aligned with the business unit goals and sustained. Embraces servant leadership and respect for people to build collaboration and improve sustainability of process improvements. Execute initiatives from division KPO and provides feedback on progress. Oversee the proper implementation of Kaizen workshops/events at the site level and ensure results materialize in better Lead-Time, On-time-delivery, Working Capital and Industrial Efficiencies. Coach and develop sites like Lean Leaders on Kaizen, Lean Principles and PES to build Lean practitioners and a culture of continuous improvement. Ensures accountability for Kaizen Newspaper Action Items driving follow-through and measurable results. Manages and maintains Kaizen resources, PES training materials, and standard templates to support ongoing improvement efforts aligned with functional KPO. Champion the identification, planning, and execution of hoshin process to improve business units SQDC via Kaizen Planner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial Engineering preferred)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with leadership in Kaizen, Continuous Improvement.
  • Proficient in Gemba Kaizen, Value Stream Analysis, Visual & Daily Management, Hoshin Kanri, SMED, TPM, Standard Work Development, and 3P Layout.
  • Strong ability to facilitate Kaizen Events on these methods and tools and helping to identify future Lean minded personnel.
  • Proficiency leading cost reduction and process flow improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency with Kaizen tools, such as 3P, TAKT Time, Standard Work Combination Sheets, Standard WIP and Kaizen Newspaper.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to provide leadership and strategic direction to regional business units Manufacturing VPs.

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Master on TPS or Danaher Business System Certification.
  • Project management experience with a proven track record of meeting timelines or proactively adjusting to achieve planned goals.
  • Agile certification such as SCALE.
  • Change management such as PROSCI certification.
  • Strong analytical background - SPC, Hypothesis Testing, Regression, and Correlation Analysis.
  • Problem-solving skills, such as 5-Whys, 8D, Shainin, etc.
