About The Position

The Regional Key Account Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth and volume across Magnolia Foods’ DSD territory in Arizona. This role manages strategic customer relationships, leads joint business planning, and ensures flawless execution of sales and merchandising programs. The manager will also oversee DSD operations, working closely with distributor partners and internal teams to ensure Magnolia Foods’ products are delivered, merchandised, and promoted effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of strategic sales experience in the food or CPG industry.
  • Experience with DSD and distributor management is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in syndicated data tools (e.g., Nielsen, Circana) and retail systems.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel 40–50% within the Arizona territory.
  • Highly motivated with strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Proven leadership in cross-functional environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across assigned regional accounts.
  • Lead joint business planning sessions with customers to align growth strategies and execution plans.
  • Coordinate internal resources to meet customer expectations and account performance goals.
  • Deliver annual volume targets, manage trade expenditure, and ensure profitability across all product categories.
  • Oversee DSD execution including route management, delivery schedules, and inventory control.
  • Collaborate with distributor partners to ensure timely and accurate product delivery.
  • Monitor merchandising compliance and ensure planogram adherence across retail locations.
  • Drive expansion and authorization of Magnolia Foods’ portfolio in new and existing accounts.
  • Analyze market trends and business performance to identify growth opportunities and execution gaps.
  • Develop and implement annual promotional plans aligned with trade spending guidelines.
  • Ensure all promotions are supported with effective POS materials and incremental displays.
  • Lead pricing and merchandising initiatives in alignment with brand strategy and account goals.
  • Partner with marketing, supply chain, and operations teams to support customer initiatives.
  • Participate in financial contract negotiations, payment processing, and collections.
  • Maintain accurate performance data and reporting for assigned accounts.
