About The Position

The NDC Partnership is seeking an intern to support the Country Engagement Team within the NDC Partnership Support Unit, focusing on the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region. This role involves providing technical and administrative support to enhance regional engagement, project coordination, and information management. The intern will work under the guidance of the LAC Regional Manager and will be responsible for integrating equity into their work while assisting with various country-related activities and regional events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in environmental science, international development, or public policy.
  • Master's degree desired in environmental or climate science, public policy, international relations, or sustainable development.
  • At least 1 year of working experience.
  • Writing, editing, and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English are required.
  • High degree of organization, critical thinking skills, results-oriented, and ability to work in a team.
  • Project coordination and information management skills.
  • Ability to present complex data and information clearly and concisely.
  • Computer skills including high proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Monday.com is an asset.
  • Familiarity and experience with climate change and related fields; experience with the LAC region is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coordination, logistical, and communications support around regional events and activities, such as regional workshops and forums.
  • Provide administrative and organizational support around regional partner coordination efforts, including notetaking during calls and organizing information.
  • Support the preparation of regional knowledge and communication products by collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing information.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to track regional work progress through the Annual Work Plan and M&E Framework.
  • Support the team with regional internal processes and procedures, such as updating team systems and gathering inputs for internal communication channels.
  • Assist with the preparation of Country Engagement outputs, such as Requests for Support Letters and NDC Implementation Plans.
  • Provide administrative support to track facilitator and embedded advisor contracts and deliverables.
  • Provide technical, organizational, and administrative support to the LAC team with implementation and tracking of activities under the Global Call on NDC 3.0 and LT-LEDS.
  • Participate and support meetings with countries and/or partners and take minutes as requested.
