Folds of Honor is seeking a dynamic and mission driven Regional Impact Officer to join our team supporting the efforts of our Oklahoma Chapter. This pivotal role will focus on identifying, engaging, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding both current and prospective donors to expand financial support for our mission of providing educational scholarships to the families of America’s fallen and disabled service members and first responders. The ideal candidate will be a strategic relationship builder with a passion for philanthropy, responsible for achieving annual revenue goals by managing a portfolio of donors and prospects, and helping them find personal meaning through their support of Folds of Honor.

  • Identifies, engages, cultivates, solicits, and stewards current and prospective donors in expanding their financial support of the work of the Folds of Honor.
  • Responsible for meeting an annual revenue target by working with an assigned portfolio of donors and prospects to advance the mission of the organization and assist donors in creating meaning in their lives through giving to the Folds of Honor.
  • Develops ongoing relationships with major donors for the benefit of the Folds of Honor.
  • Manages a portfolio of donors and prospects.
  • Responsible for minimum annual fundraising goal as specified in performance standards, including both renewable and new gifts.
  • Implements programs/activities to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors at the $2,500 level or higher, with an emphasis on maximizing revenue for Folds of Honor.
  • Accountable for cultivating relationships for individual fundraising, organizational fundraising or both as outlined below:
  • Individuals: Cultivates relationships with individual donors personally and by supporting volunteer leaders in regions
  • Organizations: Cultivates, solicits, and stewards support from corporations and foundations to meet annual fundraising goals within their Regions. This includes assisting corporations in achieving their goals in strengthening their brand, marketing, and employee engagement by being proficient at clearly articulating Folds of Honor campaigns, listening to corporations’ needs and aligning campaigns to their interests, researching of foundations’ interests, preparing grant proposals, and engaging foundation staff and foundation board members to cultivate and solicit support for Folds of Honor
  • Develops and executes ongoing strategy for qualifying suspects and moving them to prospect status using tools such as small cultivation events, research, and community networking.
  • Personally, solicits assigned donor portfolio, including preparation of personalized materials when needed.
  • Identifies potential planned giving prospects.
  • Works with chapter Board members and other leadership volunteers to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward appropriate donors.
  • Works collaboratively with other departments and partners with development staff to create customized solicitation strategies matching the objectives of the organization and interests of the donor/prospect.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required and 3 years of experience in fundraising and/or sales
  • Self-disciplined, action-oriented style that thrives in a start-up environment. Prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines. Strong work ethic.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to establish and implement systems and identify resources to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills. Investigate issues, asks thoughtful questions and recommends possible solutions. Builds a logical approach to addressing problems by drawing on own knowledge and experience or by seeking other references or resources as appropriate.
  • Maintains a customer service demeanor at all times. Builds rapport and provides assistance to high- profile external constituents as well as internal staff. Takes detailed and thorough messages and conveys them effectively to others.
