About The Position

This role will require the incumbent to travel extensively in Georgia and Florida The Regional Hyperbaric Coordinator is responsible to manage all aspects of hyperbaric component in the wound care and hyperbaric centers as assigned by senior leadership including traveling to provide start-up consultation and training as needed. With a customer service focus, the Regional Hyperbaric Coordinator will provide center consultation and hyperbaric oversight, staff and patient training of the hyperbaric component. In conjunction with the Program Director, the Regional Hyperbaric Coordinator facilitates and maintains lines of communication with various ancillary areas within the Wound Healing Institute and is available to provide hyperbaric safety director training and coverage in the various centers and to provide initial and concurrent training and documented education for hyperbaric and wound care staff regarding areas of hyperbaric physiology, decompression equipment functions and patient safety. Provides hyperbaric chamber system orientation and serves as preceptor for all staff and physicians assuring competencies and is available to cover in the hyperbaric room in any given center as needed. The Regional Hyperbaric Coordinator ensures availability of appropriate resources and expense allocations, manages relationships with staff, clients and stakeholders and provide hyperbaric technologist coverage as and where needed. Performs risk management to minimize project vulnerability and reports and escalates issues to senior management as needed. Manages the day-to-day operational aspects of each hyperbaric center issue, creating a working environment that allows everyone to work to the best of their abilities. Must be available to travel on as needed basis up to 85% of the time to support start up activities and day-to-day center needs. Qualified work-related travel is reimbursed. Must complete and pass required medical screening, background checking and drug test

Requirements

  • Current certification with the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine as a certified hyperbaric technologist
  • Hyperbaric Safety Director designation
