About The Position

The Regional HSE Manager will be responsible for building and overseeing the company's safety program. This includes working with appropriate departments to develop safety policies, controls, and forums, improving safety compliance and outcomes across the Velocity Network, and most importantly, building a culture that empowers safety. This will be an onsite position only.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Health, Safety, and Environmental position.
  • Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful EHS programs.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations, compliance standards, and risk management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor, coach, and train team members effectively.
  • Demonstrated success in building and sustaining a positive safety culture.
  • Flexibility to travel, including overnight stays and international travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in the automotive or trucking industry.

Responsibilities

  • Attend and report at regional manager meetings (all departments).
  • Participate in and report at monthly manager meetings (all departments).
  • Conduct HSE manager meetings, generate reports, and ensure accountability for departmental processes.
  • Maintain a unified HSE structure across all VVG locations.
  • Perform internal department audits annually at regional locations.
  • Support the implementation of current and new programs.
  • Stay updated on country, state, and local regulations.
  • Implement proactive and effective HSE programs.
  • Lead and manage HSE risks across the organization.
  • Monitor and report on HSE effectiveness and organizational performance.
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance Velocity's safety culture.
  • Foster a high-performance, safety-oriented culture.
  • Engage and influence a large operational workforce.
  • Contribute to the growth of the organization.
  • Travel, including overnight stays.
