About The Position

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and experienced senior HSE professional to support Life Sciences North America (LSNA) in one of two regional project portfolios (North Carolina and Greater Philadelphia market (PA/DE/NJ). As part of our team, in this remit you will provide HSE support to the HSE Director for Life Sciences North America (LSNA). You'll serve as a business partner working with Client HSE and Senior Management stakeholders, and Jacobs Performance Unit VP's, HSE Directors, and Project Directors, Managers and Construction Managers - to lead HSE excellence and deliver projects and initiatives in a way to ensure no worker injuries or negative impacts to our client's business continuity.

Requirements

  • Professional certification as deemed appropriate and/or required by client specific circumstances.
  • A minimum of 20 years of demonstrated professional experience in a similar leadership role in managing construction health and safety.
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in managing construction projects in the Life Sciences arena.
  • Experience with managing and conducting safety and leadership training.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, construction or other; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal relations and personnel management skills.
  • Working knowledge in applicable regulatory compliance, as well as all applicable federal, state and local agencies requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support the HSE Director for Life Sciences North America.
  • Serve as a business partner working with Client HSE and Senior Management stakeholders.
  • Lead HSE excellence and deliver projects and initiatives.
  • Drive Jacobs' strategies and performance while supporting continuous improvement.
  • Provide professional development and technical resources guidance.
  • Support and/or lead incident notification, investigation and reporting processes.
  • Facilitate injury case management and return to work process.
  • Develop Jacobs project specific HSE plans.
  • Review subcontractor hazard assessments and deliverables.
  • Participate in operational readiness reviews, monthly assessments, and management system reviews.
