About The Position

VENT Fitness is seeking an experienced, motivated, and dynamic Regional Group Exercise Manager to lead and elevate our GX programs across four high-energy fitness clubs. We're looking for a visionary fitness leader who can drive class engagement, develop high-performing instructors, and deliver memorable group training experiences that members can't wait to return to. This role blends program strategy, team leadership, and hands-on studio presence - perfect for someone who loves bringing people together through fitness, thrives in an energetic, member-first environment, and knows how to grow community-based programs that drive participation, retention, and revenue.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of group fitness teaching experience across multiple formats
  • Strong preference for Les Mills certifications (BODYPUMP, BODYCOMBAT, RPM, BODYFLOW, GRIT, SHAPES, etc.)
  • AFFA or NASM GX Certification required; elite certifications a strong plus
  • Proven experience managing or coordinating GX programming (multi-location preferred)
  • Strong coaching, mentorship, and people leadership skills
  • Ability to manage schedules, data, multiple priorities, and instructor rosters
  • CPR/AED certified (or ability to obtain within 60 days)

Responsibilities

  • Program Strategy & Scheduling: Design, implement, and optimize a high-performing group fitness schedule across all four clubs. Balance member demand, peak usage times, and emerging fitness trends. Introduce innovative formats (e.g. Body Pump Heavy, Shapes, GRIT, SH1FT) while protecting consistency and brand standards. Maximize class attendance, profitability, and instructor utilization.
  • Instructor Management & Development: Recruit, audition, and onboard top-tier GX instructors. Ensure instructors reflect VENT Fitness standards for coaching, energy, professionalism, and certifications. Coach and mentor instructors via audits, feedback, workshops, and talent pipeline development. Coordinate certification training, continuing education, and team-building sessions.
  • Performance Monitoring & Quality Control: Track class attendance weekly and monthly; identify trends and growth opportunities. Execute improvement plans for underperforming formats or time slots. Maintain studio readiness, equipment standards, safety, and production value. Support instructors in expanding attendance, presence, and teaching opportunities.
  • Member Experience & Engagement: Be a visible in-club GX ambassador-engaging members, supporting instructors, and elevating community culture. Collaborate with Marketing to promote classes, seasonal launches, and GX events. Respond professionally to feedback and shape experiences that keep members referring friends.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with Club Managers, Regional Leadership, Personal Training, and ELEVATE to align experiences. Support introductory programs such as E3 assessments to drive GX trial and engagement. Participate in launch events, fitness festivals, and community activation campaigns.
