About The Position

The Director is responsible for overseeing the delivery, quality, and growth of group exercise programming across assigned YMCA branches. This leadership role involves the management of instructors, coordination of class schedules, and maintenance of equipment, while promoting the mission and values of the YMCA of Greater Richmond. The Director fosters a welcoming and inclusive environment, supporting member retention and engagement through high-quality fitness experiences.

Requirements

• Experience in staff supervision, scheduling, and performance evaluation is required
• Working knowledge of budget planning, equipment management, and program assessment.
• A nationally recognized group exercise certification is required
• A commitment to the YMCA's mission and values is vital.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required.

Nice To Haves

• A current Les Mills certification is strongly preferred.
