About The Position

The Regional Graduate Medical Education (GME) Manager at Southern Regional Medical Center is responsible for the administrative support and oversight of the Residency Programs in the region. This role involves designing curricular rotations, tracking program expenses, troubleshooting residency issues, and evaluating and enhancing the program to ensure compliance with ACGME policies. The manager collaborates with various departments and faculty to develop academic and research programs, providing counsel on accreditation and education matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience in a related area.
  • Experience with developing and implementing program ideas into successful academic programs.
  • Understanding of ACGME, NRMP, ERAS, ABFM.
  • Experience with New Innovations and ACGME webADs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive issues diplomatically.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Five (5) years of experience in an ACGME accredited program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support and oversight of the Residency Programs in the Region.
  • Design curricular rotations and track program expenses.
  • Troubleshoot residency issues and evaluate the program for enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with ACGME policies in conjunction with the Program Director.
  • Oversee program coordinators and resident/fellows.
  • Collaborate with departments and faculty to develop course, academic, and research programs.
  • Provide counsel on accreditation and education matters for GME Office staff and leadership.
